The basics of PSC

while attending one of our larger SALTO Systems installations at a local aged care provider we thought we would query the audit trail and check just how often doors were being used. This site now includes close to 300 online doors, a combination of hardwired, XS4 One Escutcheons, Locker locks and a handful of NEO Cylinders.To ensure safety of the residents and staff a large majority of this site's doors are generally locked at all times, even with that in mind the number of times that these doors have actually been unlocked still surprised us!300 doors + how many times opened in the last 48 months = 802719Providing, managing and auditing access for your staff shouldn't be a challenge, converting any door into a fully managed and controlled entry point should be easy - these are just some of the reasons we choose Salto, flexibility, reliability and the absolute freedom to go keyless in more ways than one. How easy is it to validate your privacy curtain exchange protocol in case of a regulatory audit?For most facilities the answer is "almost impossible", as the process to document exchanges is 100% manual...😫 Imagine being a 500-bed hospital deploying a multi-panel curtain solution; typically there are anywhere from 3-5 panels per patient track! 👉🏼 EVS staff are having to laboriously write the date of the exchange on each and every curtain label!! Let's do the math... With a quarterly exchange they have to handwrite dates on over 10K curtain labels (not including ISO exchanges)▶️ But wait, there’s more.
