Why is my Xbox not accepting payments? ›

The Microsoft purchase might have failed for the following reasons: The credit card hasn't been activated. The credit card was declined due to insufficient funds. The credit card can't accept online purchases or automatic billing.

If your console is stuck on a startup animation screen (shown above), power cycling your Xbox console will reset the network card and clear the cache.
